The University College for the Creative Arts at Canterbury, Epsom, Farnham, Maidstone and Rochester is one of the UK's leading providers of specialist art and design education, offering strengths in art, design, architecture, media and communication.
With around 6,500 students, the University College offers more that 80 courses leading to diplomas, degrees and postgraduate qualifications. A thriving and vibrant community of students, staff and researchers, the University College is home to a number of research centres and public galleries. Alumni of the University College include fashion designers, Karen Millen, Zandra Rhodes, Owen Gaster and Gharani Strok; Turner Prize nominee, Tracey Emin; graphic designer, Martin Lambie-Nairn; artist, Humphrey Ocean; and Oscar-winning animators, Daniel Greaves and Michael Dudok de Wit.
2. The University College for the Creative Arts at Canterbury, Epsom, Farnham, Maidstone and Rochester was formed on 1 August 2005 through the uniting of two leading specialist art and design institutions: the Kent Institute of Art & Design and The Surrey Institute of Art & Design University College.
